"Bridges" is the follow up Ep to "Restless Spirit"; also lovingly produced by multi-Grammy winning producer David Kershenbaum. Another thoughtful album of songs focusing on serious subjects including loss of a loved one, violence on the border, the homeless, and a stirring tribute to our veterans. David's expert production makes each and every song poignant and moving.

The Songs:

1. Bridges

This is a song about dealing with your inners demons, self doubts, and general uncertainty on the one hand. On the other it is also about finding the faith and courage within yourself to guide you through difficult times.

2. Shake My Fist At The Sky

"Shake", quite simply, is about the loss of an important, very close loved one. I started writing this song the day after my mom passed away the night before.  My lifelong partner and I were sitting on the foot of her bed at the time. It is a tribute to my mom, my dad, my partner's mom, dad and step-dad, and really, all others close to us.  I tried to convey the conflict between love and anger during such emotional times.

3. Chasin' the Future

One can easily get caught up in life in the fast lane, so to speak.  And when that happens, perceptions and values invariably tend to get distorted, sometimes to a dangerous level. This song focuses on that from my observations and the experiences of those close to me.

4. It Could Happen To Anyone

This song is also referred to as "AK 47's". It is the other side of the coin of "Just A Chance" from the "Restless Spirit" Ep. While both relate to living on the border, this song's subject is the violence that is all too prevalent. Much of this song centers on my direct experiences.

5.  Help Me, Tell Me

A song with a distinct upbeat Latin feel; you can snap your fingers to it, tap your toes, and dance around the floor to this one. The upbeat energetic feel of this song is an intentional juxtaposition to lyrics; which are about the lives of all too many homeless people on the streets.

6.  Did Anyone/Find The Cost Of Freedom

We owe our veterans far to much of a debt than we can ever repay. This song is a tribute those fine men and women who have served and are still serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Nuff said.
