The Celebrity Theater (above), in Phoenix, Arizona, is the perfect smaller size theater for both artists and audiences alike. With a capacity of approximately 2400 seats, it is designed and configured "in the round" with no seat more than 75 feet away from the stage, and virtually no obstructed views. It's a theater where artist and audience can get up close and personal, making for a very intimate engaging experience for all.
For artists, it has great "green room" for meet and greet's, very nice dressing rooms that aren't claustrophobic, a good size stage with sound and lights "flown" (meaning overhead), and a relatively easy load in - load out for the equipment trucks.
Audiences will love it too. The proximity of all the seats to the stage insures that no one has a bad seat, and depending on the nature of the show, can fully participate in it. I vividly remember seeing Anita Baker here for a New Year's Eve show, complete with champagne, whistles, streamers, all the works. It was an incredible show, one of the best I've ever seen. There are plenty of concession stands, and most importantly, plenty of restrooms. Also, I didn't find any parking issues, and it was easy to get to.
They keep a pretty full schedule year round (see Below), so if you are ever in the area or within driving distance (maybe a weekend trip), check out their schedule and catch a show if you can. It's worth making a trip to see that special show, you won't be disappointed
