This was a really fun record to make. It features great guest vocalists singing songs that I wrote (or co-wrote); and giving each song their own special touches to make them their own. I can tell you for a fact that each and every one knocked it out of the park! The title comes from the studio that we used in LA, Stagg Street Studios. A very special thanks to all the personal at Stagg involved in the making of this exceptional Cd.

The Songs:

1. Don't Mess With Me (aka The Preacher)
This is a song about the memorable Lee Child character, Jack Reacher. I fell in love with that character from the first time I encountered him in the book "Echo Burning". Finally I was compelled to begin writing a song about him. With help from great friend and virtuoso guitarist Jeff Kolman, we co-wrote one bad ass song for one one bad ass character. Teddy ZigZag nails both the vocal and harmonica on this tune.

2. Look The Devil In The Eye
Sharlotte Gibson has one of the most amazing expressive voices I have ever heard, and her talent is on full display in this mature love song about coping through difficult times together. Her vocal interpretation of this song is nothing less than astounding. The lead guitar parts, played by Moni Scaria, perfectly complement Sharlotte's performance.

3. The Perfect Disguise
Not everything is always what it seems. That is the essence of The Perfect Disguise. Teddy Zigzag once again delivers a bravura performance.

4. Welcome To The Real World
This is the studio version of the same song from the "Live" CD. And as with the live version, Dilana totally kills the vocal. It's unequivocally one of the best female rock vocals I've ever heard.

5. You're All I See
Another love song written for and about my partner of 30+ years. It expresses our love and commitment to each other. Our good friend John Payne performs the vocal duties, both lead and harmonies. And Jeff Kolman's lead solo is perfect for this song; not too much, nor too little. Just perfect.
